5 out of 5 starsI just love these earrings! These past few years I appreciate jewelry (especially earrings) that are light weight. These are pretty, light, and go with everything. Adorable too, I love the design (and the artist too!). <3

5 out of 5 starsAs someone with a BRCA mutation, I like to consider myself a mutant, giving this nasty mutation a much needed touch of humor. It's a rough journey, too, and anyone who perserveres through this should absolutely be proud. If you are mutant, get yourself this pin to remind yourself that you should be proud of yourself. Get this for your friends, your family. They need to hear it <3

5 out of 5 starsI ordered this to wear when I’m bleeding. It’s red on one side and natural bamboo on the other, so I can wear it with anything!! I love how lightweight it is, and how unique it is. I was also BLOWN AWAY at how great Melanie was to work with! I accidentally had the item shipped to an old address and Melanie communicated with me through the WHOLE process so I constantly knew what was happening. So thrilled by that, I can’t even tell you. I ordered from other Etsy shops with the same issue and NO ONE took care of me aside from Melanie. Only shop owner that communicated with me. Love love love love love!!!!

5 out of 5 starsI purchased these as a gift for a co-worker/friend. They're so beautiful in person. She liked them so much, she put them on immediately and wore the biggest grin all day. They looked fantastic!

5 out of 5 starsI bought several pairs of earrings for co-workers for the holidays. Melanie was fantastic to work with and packaged each one with a different ribbon and included a "cheat sheet" with samples of the ribbons and notes identifying which pair of earrings was inside. Not only was everything beautifully wrapped, but this little "cheat sheet" made my life easier!

5 out of 5 starsI actually bought these earrings for myself and I adore them! They're beautiful and comfortable to wear. They're well made and were reasonably priced.
Whimsical artist creating her vision one laser cut piece at a time in her NY apartment.

Laser Cutting
Oakland, CA
I have been working with my laser cutter for almost a decade now. I upload illustrator files after doing my design work in Rhino3D and they use these lines to laser cut components for my work. I do not own or have space to own a laser cutter so they fill that production gap for me.

3D printing!
New York, NY
I use this company to produce nylon and stainless steel 3D printed objects. I create 3D designs in Rhino3D and Matrix, upload an printer ready file and order the printed pieces. I do not have the space for multiple material 3D printers so they fill this production void for me.

Frequently asked questions
How are your Nylon 3D printed items made?
First all designs are thoughtfully created by myself using specialized CAD software, I personally favor Rhino and Matrix. Then these pieces are made in a 3D printer that takes a bed of nylon powder and layer by layer sinters it together with targeted lasers. The items are then either dyed or polished and sometimes I do some hand painting to embellish the surface. The surface of 3D printed nylon has a slightly grainy finish.
How are your Steel 3D printed items made?
First all designs are thoughtfully created by myself using specialized CAD software, I personally favor Rhino and Matrix. Then, special 3D printers deposit small drops of special glue between layers of fine steel powder. This continues layer by layer until the full model is built. This piece then undergoes a special infusion process where the glue is replaced by bronze and the model is now fully metal. [Reasons why I can't do this in my apartment ;-) ]
Custom and personalized orders
I will work with you to create the custom piece of your dreams. Along the way I will send you all applicable CAD images, renderings etc all with accompanying measurements. Once we agree on a final piece and you move to order, there are no cancellations, refunds or exchanges. Once I order the piece from either my printers or laser cutters the sale is final.
Can I get this in another shape/size/color?
Yes! I love custom orders and am happy to work with you to create the piece of your dreams. I can get most of my materials in a variety of other colors and finishes [or another material entirely!] to create exactly what you are looking for. Please message me for more information.
Wholesale availability
My laser cut and 3D printed designs are all available for wholesale. Please contact me with questions and inquiries. I only wholesale to registered businesses, I will need your tax ID for my accounting purposes. I do not do wholesale pricing for individuals placing large orders.
Why are these two pieces of wood different colors?
All of my laser cut bamboo is natural. This gives us the first set of uneven, beautiful variation. Then during the laser cutting process, the wood is burned and the extent of how dark the surrounding wood gets in the process varies from piece to piece, and throughout individual pieces. Left and right earrings while identical in design will not be identical in tone and shade of finishing. This is my favorite part of working with laser cut wood. I have no control of how this occurs and I think that's what makes it special.
